The Spreewald is a Biosphere Reserve and known for its traditional river landscape consisting of more than 200 canals and creeks with a total length of more than 1,000 km. The meadows and moorlands of the Spreewald is of great importance for nature protection. Many protected animal and plant species live here.

Watch some impressions from the heart of the Spreewald between Lübben, Lübbenau, Lehde, Leipe and Burg in all four seasons. You will experience the awakening of spring with a special concert of the native birds, the people of the Spreewald in the most beautiful time of year, an autumn walk and the snow covered Spreewald in the winter.

After that you join us on a tour into the green paradise of the inner upper Spreewald. On a punting tour you will experience the most beautiful areas around Lübbenau on a beautiful summer evening.

Finally you can join us for ice skating on a beautiful sunny winter day. If the winter is very cold, the canals are completely frozen. Then everyone is enjoying a winter wonderland in the Spreewald.

There’s no narration, but beautiful scenery set to music and original sound. The DVD has subtitles in English and German language with explanations of the destinations.
